August 29, 2011 - Happy 53rd. Birthday

Well, Its Michael Jackson's 53rd. birthday today, I honestly have to say i'm not celebrating as much as I could be. Long two weeks with a god brother I don't like. Anyhow, lots of things have happened. Steam Powered Giraffe is finishing up their time at the zoo. Not much reason to go back their after they leave,I've already seen all the animals...

I'm getting obsessed quickly with John Lennon and his solo career. I like his simplicity in his songs. He is one of the best in the business. Same story with Paul McCartney. I really like the album "Band on the Run." I'm super obsessed with the Beatles. It's a whole new aria of music and inspiration for me.

I went to a thing called Merkabah the other night and it turned out to be a very soulful experience. We first got in a big circle and loosened up my humming and holding hands. Then we all listened to music and created. I drew two pictures. One of The Jon and one of SPG trying to be birds. I tried to write a song but couldn't with the music playing. I've written 3 lately so that's a good thing.

I applied at Spirit Halloween store, have my fingers crossed but without a diploma, former experience, or references, things don't seem to likely to happen... That's about it for now...

A piece of Minnesota

Tomorrow at 7 my god brother from Minnesota is coming. Honestly, I don't know what to expect of his visit. He is the one god brother I didn't connect with last year in Minnesota. He has more in common with Michael which scares me a little. I feel like if Michael is hanging out with someone my age they could gang up on me. I'm gonna try to avoid him I guess... We don't have much in common. Not as much avoid as just going on with my daily life.

I'm also worried about our families vast life style differences to his families. First off Jim and Hillary are both fire fighters which means they have a good income. Mom is a checker at Albertsons living paycheck to paycheck. When I went up there they paid for all kinds of stuff for me to do. Now we cant return the favor, personally I feel like shit. This is why I don't like friends to buy me stuff. Second They don't have snacks in the house and all we eat is snacks lol. They have a strict set bedtime and it's really free rain around here. I currently sleep from 5:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. I don't see how it's not healthy, I am getting a good amount of hours in. Also he's gonna see how different I am at home to how polite and repressing I was up there. I can get mean here at home. Mom and I argue all the time. Well... guess I'll see how it goes...

Two Days of Zoo Adventures

Last week I went to the zoo to realize that David Bennett of Steam Powered Giraffe had lost his voice. It was weird with him saying nothing on the stage. He is usually the dominant presence and having no voice pushed Chris and Jon to be. I went to see monkeys and hippos with Jon. I discovered that me and Michael have the same favorite instrument, being the maraca egg. At the end when they were all leaving and David was trying to tell Michael something with his hands and I said, "Good thing your a mime of this would be difficult." He through his arms swooshing at me and shaking his head no. I thought it was the most clever thing I ever said. I was happy the rest of the night.

Another day I went with Bethany. David could sing harmony parts but not yet whole songs. Me and Bethany made Michael a maraca egg of magic for Michael Reed. He happily accepted. Later we happen to see Jon walking into the sky ride. Bethany and I were thrilled to see him fly off into the sunset. Just a great two days...

Happy 100th. Lucille Ball

I just wanna shout out the the queen of comedy. Made famous in her show I Love Lucy back in the 1950's. It's one of my favorite shows. Happy Birthday I love you.
